If you are looking for something to do that requires some exercise but mostly a chance to take in some scenic views and get close to Idaho's wildlife, especially waterfowl, the Hagerman Wildlife Management Area opened March 1st.

The WMA is located just south of the city of Hagerman and there are plenty of walking trails that provide views of the Hagerman Valley and the Snake River. It's an easy 90 minute drive from the Treasure Valley and makes for a great family outing.

The Hagerman WMA includes a bunch of ponds and lakes with areas to view the waterfowl plus there are picnic tables and bathrooms.

There is also the Hagerman State Fish Hatchery, the largest trout hatchery in the state. A chance to get outside and enjoy Idaho.
