It turned out to be the most successful play of their weekend championship trip and a Winnemucca couple is alive today and grateful the Boise Black Knights football team made the right call

I'm sure you've heard the story by now that the team of 13 and 14 year old players were coming back from winning a team championship in San Jose when the car in front of their bus rolled over on US 95 near Jordan Valley, trapping 65 year old Alan and Margaret Hardman.

The players jumped to action using their strength and teamwork to lift up the SUV and get both occupants out from under the car.

It wasn't about heroics, it was about doing the right thing and overcoming the adversity that had presented itself so quickly on an otherwise uneventful trip home.

Alan Hardman would latter tell the Idaho Statesman, "I don't know how we would have done without them."

The team was in the KISS radio studios today, our sister station to 630 The Fan. They spoke with Keke Luv about the experience and how nobody hesitated but found a job to do and did it together as a team.

Head coach Rudy Jackson was on air as well and seemed more like a proud papa than a football coach.
