The 18th ranked Boise State gymnastics team starts the season on the road at 4th ranked UCLA Sunday. The meet will begin at 4 pm MST and will be televised on the Pac 12 Network.

The Broncos have won five straight Mountain Rim Gymnastics Conference titles, the longest championship streak for a Boise State athletic program since the football team also won five-straight in the Western Athletic Conference from 2002-06.

The only program with a longer streak in Boise State history was the wrestling team, which won seven-straight Big Sky Conference Championships from 1974-80.

Boise State begins the 2020 season ranked No. 18 in the WCGA Preseason Poll, the highest ranking of schools in the Mountain Rim Gymnastics Conference and the second-highest ranking of non-Power Five programs.

Boise State has finished each of the last 12 seasons ranked in the top 25 and this past season closed the year with 12-consecutive weeks ranking in the top 15.

The Broncos lost a trio of gymnasts to graduation this past season, including Shani Remme, the most decorated gymnast in school history.

Back for 2020 are four gymnasts with postseason accolades:

Gabriela Bouza was named first-team All-MRGC on beam in 2018

Emily Muhlenhaupt was named All-MRGC First Team on bars this past season.

Courtney McGregor is the defending MRGC All-Around Champion, and was the co-champion on bars in 2018. McGregor was also named first-team all-league in the all-around each of the last two seasons, and was first-team all-league on both bars and vault in 2017 and 2018. She was second-team All-MRGC on bars in 2019.

Alexis Stokes, in her debut season this past year, captured the conference championship on bars and garnered first-team all-league honors in the event.
