Baby steps, sometimes that's all it takes to move forward and when Boise State found it's self 2-2 on the college football season following a home loss to Virginia it was time to start from the beginning.

Since then the Broncos have won five straight games including back to back 41-14 finals over Utah State and Nevada. Boise State is the only unbeaten team in Mountain West action at 5-0 and all of a sudden are back in the New Year 6 Bowl conversation.

Yes sir there is a lot of football to play but the Broncos are getting hot when it counts and have put themselves in a position where they determine their future.

The AP college media poll and the Coaches Poll both have Boise State ranked 30th and all of a sudden the team has become relevant to the 2017 college football season in regards to the playoffs and post season bowls.

At 7-2 the Broncos don't have an easy ride home with a game at Colorado State Saturday, then Air Force in town followed by a trip to Fresno State.

BSU is looking at a chance to end the regular season 10-2, host the MW Championship game and maybe improve to 11-2 and that would get the attention of Bowl games galore including a New Years Six Bowl.

All of a sudden the stakes have become huge, reminiscent of past Boise State seasons as this very young 2017 team begins to grow up and have a little fun in the process.
