The Mountain West basketball race is far from over but the Boise State Bronco's could feel their chance for the regular season title or a solid post season tournament seed was sinking fast.

Boise State needed a win and they got exactly that against Wyoming over the weekend 77-52. The 25 point was was the largest margin of victory this year and the 52 points by the Cowboys was the fewest BSU has allowed this season.

Three Broncos finished the game in double figures led by J.R. Williams who scored 18 points in just 19 minutes of playing time.

Boise State is now 4-3 in conference play two game behind 6-1 Nevada who plays at 5-2 UNLV tomorrow night in Vegas.

Nevada is 19-1 overall and ranked 8th in this weeks men's AP college basketball poll.

Boise State now hits the road for a pair of games this week starting at Colorado State tomorrow night. The Rams are 3-4 in league play but coming off a 74-65 win over Fresno State who at 5-2 is tied with Utah State and UNLV for second place.

Here now a look at the current Mountain West standings:

Nevada 6-1, Utah State 5-2, Fresno State 5-2, UNLV 5-2, Boise State 4-3, Air Force 4-4, San Diego State 3-3, Colorado State 3-4, New Mexico 3-5, Wyoming 1-6 and San Jose State 0-7.

For the record, Tennessee remains #1 in the latest college basketball poll with Gonzaga is fourth.
