At one time Borah football was feared among Idaho high school football teams. Then they just became normal, some years better than others and some years down right dreadful.

Each of the past two season the Borah Lions have shown a glimpse of dominance past and many went into the 2018 season predicting Borah would be a factor in the battle for the state 5A crown.

it's no longer a predictions, it's fact! Borah beat Eagle 42-25 Thursday night to kickoff week two of the high school football season and are 2-0 to start the season.

Senior quarterback Jake Standlee completed 33 of 43 passes for 425 yards and four touchdowns.

Ellis Magnuson, Chase Net and Austin Bolt combined for 25 pass receptions and four td's.

Borah scored 21 straight points in the second half to take a 35-10 lead. Eagle responded with 10 points to close the gap to 35-25 with seven minutes to play and in past season the Lions may have doubted themselves.

Not this year....The Lions put together a game winning drive with Standlee scoring on a one yard run as the Lions closed the sale 42-25.
