Craig Sager's high-profile battle with cancer ended when he passed away last week, but his spirit lives on.

The NBA sideline reporter's last interview was with CBS and aired last weekend. He remained a fighter until the end, although it's easy to see the toll the leukemia took on his body, since Sager sat down to talk after undergoing his third bone marrow transplant back in October.

Sager was able to put his battle into a larger context. “I’m fighting not only for myself and my family, but I feel I am fighting for everybody who has cancer," he said.

He also embraced how he managed to influence others for the better. "People say, ‘I’ve been a negative person all my life, and you changed my life. Now I’m more positive and happier.'"

Whether you're a well-known TV personality or an average Joe, that's quite a legacy to leave.
