In Corvallis, Oregon Super Bowl Sunday had a little different meaning than for most sports fans. Beaver basketball fans spent Super Bowl Sunday watching the 9th ranked Oregon State women's basketball team tangle with 14th rated Utah in a key Top-20 Pac-12 showdown.

Former Mountain View great Destiny Slocum would be key in the game for the Beavers. The red-shirt sophomore scored 20 points and had 5 assists in leading Oregon State to a hard fought 71-63 win.

Utah raced to an early lead but with Slocum hitting 8 of Oregon States first 11 field goals the Beavers tied the game at 28 at halftime.

The game was still deadlocked at 51 after three periods but OSU outscored Utah 20-12 in the final stanza to post their 19th win of the season, the Beavers now 19-3.
