The Philadelphia Eagles have fired head coach Chip Kelly. “We appreciate all the contributions that Chip Kelly made and wish him every success going forward,” Eagles CEO and chairman Jeffrey Lurie said.

Kelly went 6-9 in his three years with the Eagles. He was 26-21 overall in his career. Offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur will serve as interim coach for the team's last game against the New York Giants.

Kelly failed to win a playoff game during his time, losing in the wild-card round in his first season.
