“Extra Mile Arena” Now Official

Taco Bell Arena had a long run of basketball games, concerts, graduations and many other events but now the Boise State multi purpose complex officially has a new name, "Extra Mile Arena."

The process of putting the signage in place began today and certainly attracted the attention of students making their way to classes as the big cranes hoisted the new signs into place.

Get used to the name, Extra Mile went, well the "Extra Mile" in agreeing to a 15 year deal worth 8.4 million dollars to Boise State.

Old timers remember when the facility was simply called The Pavilion, then Taco Bell Arena and now Extra Mile.

The official unveiling was today at Boise State as coaches and administrators gathered to usher in the new era.

The facility by any name has actually stood the test of time and is still an impressive venue in which to watch basketball or your favorite rock star perform.
