Boise State fans aren't the only one's waiting to hear who will start at quarterback August 31st in Jacksonville.

Florida State is also taking their time making a decision. The Broncos and Seminoles collide to open the season in just over a week and both still haven't tabbed a starter at quarterback.

Boise State seems to have a two way race with Chase Cord and true freshman Hank Bachmeier the main candidates.

Florida State has a three way race between last years FSU back-up James Blackman and a pair of transfers, Alex Hornibrook from Wisconsin and Jordan Travis from Louisville.

Seminole head coach Willie Taggart said Sunday the competition is really close.

To be honest, I think both Taggart and BSU's Bryan Harsin know who the starters will be but right now it's a cat and mouse game as we near kickoff. The only folks who really want to know about the starters are the media and the fans and quite frankly neither of them really matter.

Harsin's first game week press conference is schedule for next Monday and that may be the perfect setting to make the announcement, much like Chris Peterson did when he introduced Kellen Moore.
