Gonzaga Staying Put in WCC

What seemed almost certain two weeks ago is now unlikely at best!

Gonzaga basketball is staying put in the West Coast Conference rather than moving to the Mountain West.

While at the men's final four over the weekend, MW commissioner Craig Thompson all but confirmed the move to the Mountain West was unlikely. Thompson said it doesn't look promising.

Thompson congratulate the WCC for coming up with a great plan by revamping the league schedule in favor of Gonzaga to help strengthen their RPI rating and NCAA Tournament seeding. Plus the WCC upped the Zag's NCAA playoff payoff percentage.

As for the Mountain West Thompson said "We are going to continue to grow our league and keep improving."
