Former Boise State golfer Graham DeLaet, who makes his home in Meridian, has begun the 2017 PGA season with a flurry. DeLaet finished 10th in the PGA Honda Classic in Florida with a 6 under par 274. That was just 6 shots behind the winner Rickey Fowler and only 2-shots out of 2nd place.

DeLaet earned $172,800 for his effort, his third top ten finish of the young season and his second top ten performance in the last three weeks.

At the Honda classic DeLaet was in contention from the first round when he fired a 66 followed by a 68 on Friday but over the weekend he shot a pair of 70's that kept him from moving up the leader board.

None the less the former Bronco is making cuts, making money, playing solid golf and gaining confidence every weekend.
