Long time teacher and coach in Idaho City has passed away. 48 year old Bill Phillips, died at his home in Idaho City Sunday night from what appears to be a heart attack. Schools were closed yesterday in Idaho City after word spread through the small town.
Counselors have been brought in to work with teachers and students today.
Phillips taught history in the middle school and high school. He also taught driver’s education. He was head coach for the volleyball team, and had coached boy’s basketball.
