Colson Yankoff of Coeur d'Alene was a four-star recruit after being named the 5A Idaho Football player of the year in 2018. The 6-4 210lb Viking quarterback had thrown for 88 touchdowns his junior and senior seasons combined and decided to accept an offer from Washington.

However, Husky head coach Chris Petersen, formerly of Boise State, continued to recruit highly ranked players at quarterback and Yankoff felt he was being buried in the depth chart and made the decision to transfer to UCLA.

Making the switch means Yankoff will have to sit out the 2019 season but will have three years of eligibility.
