Idaho snowboarder Kaitlyn Farrington won the Gold Medal for the U.S. against American competitors Kelly Clark and Australian Torah Brightin in the women's halfpipe competition.

Farrington executed a winning run that included a 900 spin and corked backflip.
The Bellevue resident posted a score of 91.75 during her second run, just good enough to beat Bright's 91.50. More importantly, the Idaho native did not fall during either of her two final runs.
Farrington gave a shout out to Sun Valley, Idaho on national TV.
