Mikayla Ferenz made Idaho basketball history Thursday in Moscow becoming the schools all-time leading scorer in basketball men or women.

Ferenz entered Thursday’s game 16 points shy of Idaho’s all-time scoring leader and Hall of Famer Alli Nieman but Ferenz netted 23 points to claim the top spot in Idaho basketball history as she helped the Vandals (12-8, 9-2 Big Sky) to a 76-68 rout of the Lady Griz (10-10, 5-6 Big Sky).

Ferenz, who now has 2,148 career points, went 8-of-21 from the floor, 4-of-13 from the three and 3-of-4 from the foul line. The accomplishment moves her up to third all-time in the Big Sky Conference record books.

The Idaho women will host Montana State Saturday as Ferenz will try and build on her record scoring career.
