Alexander Mattison of Boise State had 91 rushing yards against Wyoming Saturday night and one of his runs he excited the crowd and a national TV audience by hurdling a Wyoming defender for a few extra yards.

Of course as everyone knows while the leap was exciting and highlight worthy, jumping over a defender can be dangerous.

So when Bronco head coach Brayn Harsin saw his number one running back take to the air he held his breath.

Later Harsin had some words of wisdom for Mattison, basically run hard and don't make a living leaving your feet!

Monday when coach met with the media you even sensed a bit of jealousy as Harsin said "I've never been able to do that in my life".

Harsin said he just wants Mattison to run hard, stay on the ground and not take too many chances by taking flight trying to get a few extra yards. This time it worked to perfection but if it's up to Harsin, there won't be a next time.

But you have to admit, it was a pretty exciting run/flight part of the Broncos balanced attack of 165 yards rushing and 177 through the air.

BSU is at Utah State Saturday night 8 p.m. on the CBS Sports Network.
