The high school basketball coaches across the state of Idaho have voted and the players of the year 2017-2018 are both from Post Falls.

Jake Pfennings and Melody Kempton, both Trojans have been voted the high school basketball players of the year male and female.

Pfennings averaged a double double with more than 17 points and 11 rebounds a game and he shot better than 44% from three point range.

Kempton averaged nearly 17 points per game and she is ranked #96 on the ESPNW top 100 list of prep female basketball players.

Joining Pfennings on the All-Idaho boys first team are a trio of Treasure Valley players. Jalen Galloway of Mountain View, Borah's Ellis Magnuson and Paul Pennington of Boise.

Derek Marlowe of Hillcrest completes the boys first team and his coach Dave Austin of Hillcrest was tabbed the boys coach of the year.

Along with Kempton the All Idaho girls team includes a pair of Eagle Mustang players, Katelyn Murray, 13 points per game and McKenna Emerson just under 10 points a contest.

Borah's Alyssa Bolt made the first team with her 12 points and 6 rebounds per contest and Bayley Brennan of Post Falls completes the All Idaho first team.

Marc Allert of Post Falls is the girls high school basketball coach of the year in the Gem state..
