The Borah Lions haven't won a state football playoff game since 1995 and they'll have to wait at least one more year after falling to Rigby 35-21 in the first round of the 5A state high school football playoffs.

Borah jumped to a 21-7 first quarter lead but never scored again. Meantime Rigby running back Braden Youngstrom rushed for 190 yards and three touchdowns as the Trojans scored 28 unanswered points.

Rigby now 8-2 advances the quarter finals next Friday and will once again travel to the Treasure Valley to play. This time Rigby gets undefeated, top ranked and defending state champion Mountain View! The two teams actually met in the state playoffs last year with the Mavericks beating Rigby 50-0.

The Trojan players say they are looking forward to the rematch a game we'll broadcast live on sports radio 630 The Fan Friday November 3 at 7 p.m.
