The Seattle Mariners introduced new home alternate jerseys Friday morning. The jerseys will be worn specifically on Sundays beginning this season. Many organizations try to blend history with the present, but the Mariners have found the perfect blend. The jerseys are a cream color with royal blue lettering and gold trim, a tip of the cap to the team's original color scheme. Mariners players Taijuan Walker, James Paxton, Charlie Furbush, and Nelson Cruz modeled the new uniforms. The jerseys will not have the players names on the back, just the number. The new jerseys will be in addition to the four already in rotation (the teal is still alive!) and are already available in the Safeco Field team store and will be arriving at team stores around Washington within a few days. You can purchase the new gear on Mariners.com.
