Idaho Prep Football: Final Regular Season Week

All summer we longed for  the high school football season to begin and now we are down to the final week of the regular season.

The playoff picture can still take some twists and turns defending on results this week and that will make for an interesting final Friday.

The McDonald's game of the week on 630 The Fan, now also airing on 105.5 fm, will feature the Capital Eagles at Eagle. Both teams are 5-3 in league so the game has huge playoff implications. Kickoff at 7 pm.

Heading into the final week of the regular season Rocky Mountain remains unbeaten 8-0 and No.1 in the latest media standings. Coeur d'Alene, Mountain View and Borah are next all 6-2 with Rigby moving into the top five at 6-1.

Highland and Eagle fell out of the top 5.

In 4A it's been a great season for the Kuna Kavemen. At 8-0 Kuna tops the media poll followed by 7-1 Blackfoot with Vallivue, Middleton and Bishop Kelly, all 6-2 rounding the top 5.

Sugar-Salem continues to be the media darling in 3A. The Russets are number one at 6-1 despite the fact the next three teams, Homedale 8-0, Weiser 7-0 and Timberlake 7-0, are all undefeated.Gooding at 7-1 completes the 3A top 5.
