Memorial Stadium Opening Day

The major league baseball season is nearly 70 games into the season but for the Boise Hawks of short season Class A baseball, the home season opener is tonight!

The Hawks season is just five games old with Boise 3-2 after a season opening series in Spokane. Boise lost 8-4 last night before heading to Boise.

Daniel Jipping, one of 12 returning players from last years Hawks team accounted for all 4 Boise runs last night.

Jipping homered, had two singles, 2 RBI and scored twice!

So the Hawks have finally arrived at Memorial Stadium where tonight they will host the Salem Keizer Volcanoes.

SK is also 3-2 on the young season. Sunny skies and temperatures in the upper 80's will greet the 2018 Hawks along with an expected opening night crowd of 35-hundred.
